Make a quiz

Get answers with Tailored Forms.

You can use Tailored Forms to easily create a quiz that also provides respondents with live answers. It’s a great way to gather feedback quickly when training or educating and gauge respondent understanding.

 

Create a great quiz with these items

Let’s investigate each great option available to make your ideal quiz

 

1. Text box

Use a text box when you need your respondent to provide non-generic data, such as their contact details.

You would also use it if you are creating a quiz and you don’t want to provide them with answer options to select.

If you are using a text box for a quiz or spelling list, input the correct answer into the “Edit card name” field to make it really easy to mark.

N.B if you want to provide your respondents with instant feedback or you want to create reports on the answers gathered, this isn’t the item for you. Try some of the quiz specific options below.

2. Chat Message

If you are using anything other than a text box,  you will need a chat message to ask your question.

Chat messages are super interactive and fun for your respondent.

3. Quiz Answer

Quiz answers are excellent for formative assessment as they provide your respondent with instant feedback.

These are multi-choice items, and you simply select the “plus” icon, or select “enter” on your keyboard to add more selection options.

You also mark the correct answer with a green tick, so your respondent will instantly receive a message of right or wrong when they respond. 

Don’t forget to input the correct answer into the “Edit card name” field to make it really easy to mark.

4. Select list

Use a select list when you don’t want to provide your respondents with instant feedback.

These are multi-choice items, and just like with the quiz answer, you simply select the “plus” icon or select “enter” on your keyboard to add more selection options.

Don’t forget to input the correct answer into the “Edit card name” field to make it really easy to mark.

6. Image

Images work really well in quizzes as you can use images as a hint to the question’s answer, or ask a direct question about the image provide.

They also make you quiz look beautiful.

6. Quiz Answer Photo

Quiz answer photos are multi-choice questions with an image which also allow you to provide instant feedback to respondents.

Select the green icon to add an image, then the “plus” icon to add more selection options.

7. Multi select photo

Use a multi select when you want to provide a multi-choice questions with an image but don’t want to show the respondents the answer instantly.

Select the green icon to add an image, then the “plus” icon to add more selection options.

8. Grouped items

By grouping your items together you can do some cool things.

Your ideal question could consist of a couple of items, such as an image, a chat message and a quiz answer. If you group those items together you can then duplicate them for your next question and just edit it accordingly. Saves you lots of formatting time.

You can also create visibility rules, pretty advanced, but this allows you to provide the respondent with instant feedback if they select the wrong answer, so it’s worth looking into.
